Submission to the NZ Infrastructure Commission
We call for the NZ Infrastructure Commission to lobby the government to establish a single entity for our national transport network.
While the central government controls the state highway and rail networks, it currently has little influence over independently owned airports or seaports. As the national transport network suffers growth strains, as with Ports of Auckland and Queenstown Airport, there is no integrated planning and decision framework to coordinate good outcomes.
