Climate Commission

The newly constituted Climate Commission sought public input before preparing its advice to the government for an emission reduction framework.

Through the lens of climate change, the commission offers perhaps the only existing national framework empowered to consider a broad and integrated approach to the development of national infrastructure. We are confident that the Commission will recognize the substantial contribution to emissions reduction possible through the urban densification of Frankton if Queenstown Airport was relocated.
